Quiz bowl set this evening

The Halifax County Public Library Quiz Bowl will be held this evening at 5 in the Agricultural Center Auditorium in Halifax.

The five teams competing are Halifax Academy, KIPP Pride High School, Northwest Halifax High School, Roanoke Rapids High School, and Southeast Halifax High School. Quiz Bowl is an academic competition among high school students.

The competition is free and open to the public.

Also tonight

This evening at 7 the third Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Scoping Meeting will be held at William R. Davie Middle School to discuss the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline project.

The purpose of the FERC scoping meetings is to identify anything that should be evaluated and included in the environmental review of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and to hear from proponents of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project.
