Motorcyclist dies in I-95 crash

A Virginia Beach motorcyclist died this evening in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95.

A Weldon man is scheduled to appear in Northampton County District Court today to answer to charges associated with a high-speed chase which ended outside Seaboard after he reportedly ducked a checking station Sunday night.

Sergeant's quick response foils Garysburg B&E

A Garysburg police sergeant is credited for bringing a residential breaking and entering to quick closure Saturday night.

State Alcohol Law Enforcement agents and Garysburg police seized more than $14,000 in cash and confiscated 35 machines in an afternoon raid at GIC Sweepstakes.
