The murder of a Roanoke Rapids man Sunday night is believed to be related to a home invasion in which the resident and his assailant were both killed.

Morning arrests net Project Graduation funds

For Halifax County Sheriff's Office Deputy Matt Brown, it was a way to have a little fun on his day off, rounding up former teachers and locking them up in a makeshift jail at the Girl Scout hut on Hamilton Street.
