City council by a 4-1 vote today approved the contract for Elizabeth Branham and Gil Cunningham to temporarily run the Roanoke Rapids Theatre. Mayor Emery Doughtie said the approval was pending review of both party’s attorneys.
The temporary managers of the Roanoke Rapids Theatre have announced Old Crow Medicine Show will be the first act at the venue. The show will be November 11 at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets go on sale Friday through Ticket Fly — www.ticketfly.com.
Ian Coles has refused to waive extradition to Halifax County, according to a fax from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Roanoke Rapids City Council will meet Thursday at 8 a.m. to consider a contract which would allow Elizabeth Branham to temporarily run the Roanoke Rapids Theatre.
The meeting will be held in the first floor conference room of city hall.
