Vernon J. Bryant, chairman of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners, has been appointed by North Carolina Association of County Commissioners President Allen Thomas to serve as an at-large director for a one-year term. 

“With 16 years of service as a county commissioner, including 12 years as Chairman, Bryant brings a wealth of local government experience, proven leadership, and a strong commitment to advancing the interests of counties and their citizens across North Carolina. 

“As an at-large director, Bryant will provide leadership and a rural-county perspective in helping the NCACC address issues affecting local governments, strengthen collaboration among county leaders, and advocate for policies and resources that enhance the ability of counties to serve their communities effectively.”
