The state Highway Patrol released statistics from its July 4 Booze It and Lose It and Operation Firecracker campaign.

The statistics cover operations in Halifax and Northampton counties. There were no fatal wrecks.

There were 21 checkpoints with 16 in Halifax County. There were 25 saturation and random patrols, all in Halifax County.

Troopers issued seven DWI citations to drivers 21 and older, with five of those being in Halifax County.

There were 46 seatbelt violations, with 44 in Halifax County. There were 11 child passenger safety violations, with 10 in Halifax County.

Troopers gave out 101 speeding tickets. There were 91 given in Halifax County. All 18 of the driving while license revoked charges were in Halifax County.

Of the 60 other traffic violations listed, 53 were in Halifax County.

One uninsured motorist was charged. That was in Halifax County. There were 8 reckless driving violations, none in Northampton County.

One wanted person was apprehended by troopers in Halifax County.
