One of the last suspects in the October 28 Subway robbery has been arrested and another identified.

Lawrence
Joy Lawrence 20, the girlfriend of Hakeem Cotton, another suspect in the case, has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and jailed on $20,000 bond. She has a December 19 court date.
Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said employees of the West Tenth Street Subway helped investigators identify Lawrence, of Roanoke Rapids, as well as 19-year-old Jonathan Kyles, who remains at large.
The arrest of Lawrence and the identification of Kyles brings to close the investigation of the robbery, in which two employees were beaten.
Kyles, who frequents the downtown areas of Madison and Monroe streets in Roanoke Rapids and is from Raleigh, will be charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy, Martin said.
Lawrence was the last female suspect wanted in the robbery and Kyles was the last male suspect the sheriff’s office was searching for, Martin said.
It appears Tasha Caine and Lawrence went into the restaurant on West Tenth Street around 8:30 that night to make sure no one but employees were inside.
Devonte Blount then allegedly went in to get everyone on the floor as Kyles grabbed cash. It remains unclear who beat the two employees but Martin said Cotton allegedly covered as the crime took place.
The arrests were a joint effort between Roanoke Rapids police and the sheriff’s office, Martin said. “I think it was an absolutely great joint effort through the police department. We are appreciative.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kyle is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8201.
