Governor Roy Cooper today said the state is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of 24-year-old Cierra Rockel Webb.
On November 13 at approximately 1:30 a.m. the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred at a large party at the Double D Ranch on Green Acres Road in Enfield.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Webb deceased at the scene.
Rewards of up to $16,000 have already been established in the case — up to $1,000 through Halifax County Crimestoppers and up to $15,000 through the non-profit Team Cold Case.
The sheriff’s office said in January more than 700 people attended the party and in November said investigators do not believe Webb was the intended victim in the shooting but that she was fatally shot in the crossfire.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8201, Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444, Team Cold Case at 252-406-6736 or the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation at 919-662-4500.
