Halifax Academy will hold a plant sale Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the school’s courtyard.
Plants available include cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, marigolds, zinnias, peppers and eggplants.
All the plants are grown at the school’s greenhouse.
“This year’s greenhouse has been a lot of fun for everyone involved,” said Raymond Garner III, a senior who has been involved in the project for two years as leader. “This year we even included lessons with the elementary kids to teach them for the future.”

The students also did a germination race in which the elementary class picked one seed to see if theirs would come up first.
Elizabeth Corum’s kindergarten class won with a marigold and received an ice cream party.
As a senior, this will be Garner’s last year with the project and he said the future of the greenhouse is currently not clear.
While he will have fond memories of the project, he also said, “It’s sad it’ll be the last time I get to do the greenhouse here.”
