Elizabeth Ann Draper Martin 74, of Roanoke Rapids died Monday December 28, 2020 at her home.

Ann was born in Hertford County to the late Leston and Delcy Davis Draper. 

She was a graduate of Weldon High School and Campbell College. 

She taught School at Weldon High School and Roanoke Christian School. 

She retired after 25 years from the Halifax County Department of Social Services as a Supervisor.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and was President of the Roanoke Valley Pilot club for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Martin, her stepsons, Drew Martin and his wife, Erica of Raleigh and Philip Martin of Indianapolis, Indiana, her sister, Gail D. Lane of Roanoke Rapids, her two brothers, Earl Draper and his wife, Mary of Tampa, Florida and Fred Draper and his wife, Darlene of Roanoke Rapids, grandsons, Conner and Jack Martin several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Connie Hux and her husband, Nick of Roanoke Rapids.

A special thanks to Community Hospice and Beverly’s team of caregivers for all of there loving care and concern for Ann over the many weeks of her illness.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 30th 2020 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church at 515 Becker Drive in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Dathan Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6-7:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation services in Roanoke Rapids.
