Lawrence Scott Davis, 59, of Weldon, NC passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at ECU Health Ahoskie. 

He was born in 1962 in Halifax County and was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wayne Davis and his step-father, John Sullivan Futrell. 

Lawrence was a 1982 graduate of Weldon High School. He also loved his cats. 

He is survived by his brother, Darren Davis of Weldon, NC; his mother, Inez Ivey Futrell of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his Aunts, Margo Smith McElhenney and her husband Charles of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Angel Whitby and her husband, Andy of Weldon, NC as well as his special cousin, Tammy Raby Smith and her husband, David of Louisville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. 

The family will receive friends after the service.
