Bernice Beatrice Cook, 78, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Vidant North Hospital.

Bernice was born August 26, 1941 in Halifax County to the late Charlie Anderson Miles and Ida Lee Knox Miles. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Porch and Millard “Bubba” Cook; her brother, Sonny Miles.

Bernice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook, loved to shop and was a kind and generous person.

Bernice is survived by her son, Andy Porch of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Anderson Blaine Porch, Andrea Fern Porch and Chassie Porch.

The family will have a Celebration of Bernice’s Life on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Bernice’s home from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
