Bonnie Faye Jones Massey went to be with her Lord Monday, May 11, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Bonnie was born October 15, 1950 in Smyrna, TN to the late James Lester Jones, Sr. and Eula Litha Capps Jones. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Butts and her granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Massey.

Bonnie was a member of The Little Country Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Samuel Milton Massey and Amanda Faye Newsome and her husband Billy; her grandchildren, Rachel Lynn Massey, Madison Russell and Justin Russell; her step-grandchildren, Isabella Newsome and Amber Hannah; her brothers, Bobby Jones and his wife Edna  and Jimmy Jones; her sisters, Jane Moore all of Roanoke Rapids and Margaret Rooker of Airlie; her loving furry friends, Bitty, Pup and Dixie Red.

The family would like to give special thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses at UNC Nash, UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Hillsborough Hospitals.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2020 at The Little Country Baptist Church with Rev. James Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the home, 198 Driftwood Lane, Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, 507 Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
