Michael Clayton Wiley, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in his home.  

Mr. Wiley was born on August 17, 1940 in Halifax County, the son of the late Beulah Jenkins and John Wiley. 

Surviving include his wife Virginia Rook Wiley, his sons: Jimmy Smith (Donna) and Jeff Braswell (Michele); his daughter Lisa Ponder (Kevin); his grandchildren Brock Smith, Logan Smith, Mariah Braswell, Miriah Braswell, and Ashley Allen; and his great grandchild Phoebe Allen.
