Miriam Howell Wall, 93, died Friday, November 13, 2020 after a long life of service to her church and family.  

Miriam was born May 23, 1927, daughter of Henry Lee Howell and Flossie Lyles Howell.  Miriam worked for J.P. Stevens many years. She finished her career working at Coastal Supply for James Pittman. 

She loved to take bus trips with her husband and friends. 

She loved her “church work” and probably served in all positions. 

In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Jackson “E.J.”, Sr., and her son, Edgar Jackson “Jackie”, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn Harrison and Emma Herring.

Surviving are her sisters, Effie King, Helen “Chris” Rehner both of Roanoke Rapids and Mary Parker of Fletcher, NC. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews

Rev. Sue Owen will conduct a service to remember Miriam’s life Friday, November 20, 2020, at New Hope United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm.
