George Junior Denning, 69, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at MCV Hospital in Richmond, VA.

George was born September 18, 1951 in Springfield, Il to the late Junior Denning and Norma Nellie Stiles Denning. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Burgess Denning; and his son, Bradley Michael Denning.

George served his country in the United States Air Force in special forces combat control. He retired from Dominion Power. George loved his family, especially his grandchildren, he loved woodworking, especially building quality furniture. George loved hunting and fishing and delivering meals on wheels.

George is survived by his children, George Jeremy Denning and Jennifer Denning Conner and her husband Chris; his grandchildren, Nathan Tyler Denning, Trent Elias Denning, Hayden Dianne Conner, Allessa Lee Conner and Christopher Ryan Conner; His sisters, Alice Tiny Sours, Jeannie Caldwell and Carolyn Wheat; six half brothers and sisters; a special uncle, Junior Hollyfield.

Mr. Denning will be at the funeral home for viewing by the public beginning Wednesday, January 27, 2021 until 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 1, 2021 during normal business hours.
