Horace Clifton Boseman, 91, of 226 Buckingham Drive in Winterville, North Carolina died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Vidant Hospice in Greenville. 

He had been a resident of Winterville for the past twenty years. Prior residence was Heritage Point Subdivision at Lake Gaston, North Carolina and 708 Raleigh Street in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Mr. Boseman, the son of the late L.G. and Blanche Boseman of Roanoke Rapids, NC, was a native of Halifax County, and attended Weldon High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and served in the Korean War.

 At the end of his service career, he enrolled at Campbell University for two years, working toward a business degree, he then transferred to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC for the next two years.

In the early years he worked in finance with a small loan company in Richmond, Virginia. After being transferred to Roanoke Rapids, NC with First Citizens Bank, where he worked for seven years, he became President and CEO of Rosemary Federal Savings and Loan/Roanoke Valley Savings Bank for approximately thirty years until he retired.

A memorial funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, 507 Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC on Saturday, January 8, 2022, with Jason Yeatts, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Tenth Street Christian Church, 1207 East Tenth Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Mr. Boseman is survived by his wife, Bonnie Boseman, two daughters, Judy Barbe and her husband David and Lisa B. Lassiter and her husband Mike of Winterville, NC, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also, four sisters, Gladys Podruchny and her husband Jimmy, Shervie Powell and her husband Lynwood, Opal Marsh and Faye Hatchell and her husband Bob. One brother, Dr. Glenn Boseman and his wife Zdenka.
