Joseph Elmer Edwards, 83, of Littleton passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at home.
Joe was born May 15, 1938, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Charles Elmer Edwards and Mazie Jennings Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jonathan David Edwards; his sisters, Clovie Jarrett, Wanda McCandless, Nellie Dawkins, and Trudy Turner; his brother, Loman Edwards.
Joe was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church. Joe was a Christian man, a hard-working family man. He loved spending time with all his family and friends. Joe loved golf, hunting, fishing, singing, and playing music (especially the keyboard and guitars). Joe also served on the board of the Warren County Rescue Squad.
Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Edwards, his son, Blair Thompson and his wife Nicole of Charleston, S.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612 with Dr. Darren Lambert officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Warren County Rescue Squad, 672 Enterprise Road, Littleton, NC 27850.
