Brandon Lee Haislip, Sr., 42, of Emporia died February 2, 2022 at VCU School of Medicine in Richmond.

Brandon was born December 11, 1979 in Halifax County, the son of John Henry Haislip and Wanda Warren Haislip.  Brandon was preceded in death by his father.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and also a welder in construction.

Brandon is survived by his mother and step-father, Wanda and Irvin “Popeye” Worrock; sons, Brandon Lee Haislip, Jr. and Jonathan Warren Haislip; daughters, Olivia Madison Haislip and Makayla Grace Haislip; sisters, Christy Williams (Josh) and Jena Lynch (Brandon); and nephews, Christopher Lee Scott, Jr., Landen Cole Scott, and Eli Gage Lynch.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  The funeral service for Brandon will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Wayne Marshall presiding.  Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
