Clyde Carlton Myrick

Clyde Carlton Myrick, 84, of Raleigh and Littleton, NC, passed away March 6, 2023. Carlton was born in Littleton, NC to the late Clara Thompson Myrick and John Clyde Myrick.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Myrick Moore.
Carlton is survived by his wife Kay, son John Carlton Myrick and wife Lori, daughter Susan Myrick Campbell and husband Jim, son Jason “Jay” Clyde Myrick and wife Mary, son Gordon Leslie Stephenson and wife Sandra. Surviving grandchildren are Julie Hadzor and husband Bobby, Meredith Davison and husband Camon, Emily Goldsmith and husband Cody, James Campbell III and wife Makenzie, Jack Myrick and fiancée Sarah, Charles Stephenson, Austin Stephenson, and Ethan Stephenson and Haley Day and husband Wilson, and Hunter Willette and husband Dylan. Great grandchildren are Madelyn Davison, Myrick Hadzor, Ella Day, Waylon Dressler, Millie Willette, and Noah Willette.

Carlton was a proud graduate of Littleton High School. Carlton continued his education at East Carolina College, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees. His career spanned 40 plus years with the State of NC, culminating as Deputy Secretary, Department of Administration.
Arrangements are being handled by Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, 507 US Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Church, 136 Calvary Church Road, Littleton, NC, followed by a graveside service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service.
