Linda Jenkins Gray, 74, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at her home.
Linda was born January 23, 1949, in Halifax County to the late Raymond Jenkins and Mary Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Queen.
Linda was a great wife, good as gold. Mark said that Linda was like a mom to him, she raised him and taught him about life, enjoyed their Sunday’s talking about racing. Linda loved NASCAR. She also made the best chocolate birthday cake.

Linda is survived by her husband, Wayne Gray; her son, Mark Miller and his wife Heidi; her grandchildren, Kelli Powell and Amanda Temple; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Breelyn and Carleigh; her brother Roger Jenkins; her nieces and nephews, Roger Jenkins, Jr., Karen Smith, Lori Merritt and Billy Miller; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cedarwood. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
