Bonita Sue Allen of Roanoke Rapids, NC died on Sunday April 2nd, 2023 at The Veranda in Carnesville GA.
Ms. Allen was born on January 26th, 1951 to the late John David Allen & Erline Gums Allen.
Bonita was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life.

She loved music, dancing, taking cruises with her sisters, shopping, and spending time with her grandsons and with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Erline and her brother Phillip Allen.
She is survived by her sisters Rebecca Allen Brake and Mona Rae Daniels (Johnny), and her brother John Nelson Allen (Cathy) all of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving are daughter Kimberly Shearin (Craig) of Gainesville, GA, and sons Thomas (Bubba) Frier (Sharon) of Seneca, SC, and Jason Rhoads of Copper Hill, TN. As well as her beloved grandchildren Duncan, Jacob, Justin, Zack, Landon and Grayson, and great grandson Walker.
Bonita spent her life and career helping others in need, and her last days were spent spreading joy with her sweet smile. She loved the Lord Jesus and that gives great comfort to the family knowing they will meet again.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service in her honor at 5:00 P.M. on Friday April 7th 2023, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services located at 507 Hwy 158, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 with Rev. Wayne Marshall officiating.
