It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. George Washington Campbell Jr., of Roanoke Rapids NC.

George, a devoted Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Mr. Campbell left this world on August 14, 2023 at the age of 83 to be with his Eternal Father, Savior and the Comforter.

He was from Carter County, Tennessee and son of Mr. George Washington Campbell Sr., Mrs. Ella Mae Campbell.

He was a man of faith, compassionate and unwavering dedication to his beliefs.

He was a shining example of how one's faith can guide every aspect of life. His genuine kindness, humility and boundless generosity touched the lives of everyone he encountered.

Mr. Campbell's faith in Christ was the cornerstone of his existence.

He was a Gideon. He always said: "I may tremble on The ROCK, but The ROCK never trembles under me."

A true family man, he is survived by his loving wife Sithah Rasiah Campbell, daughter Laurie Campbell Moseley, grandson Hunter Moseley, sister Wanda White, nephew Ronald Campbell and wife Becky Campbell.

Beyond his family, his commitment to helping the less fortunate were the embodiment of his Christian values in action.

As we bid farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and Christian, let us remember the words he lived by: "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

A graveside memorial service will be held in Elizabethton, TN./Carter County at the Sparks cemetery located on Sparks Road in the Happy Valley Community.
