Lillian Bryant Pearson, 79, of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday, February 15, 2019 in Liberty Commons in Weldon.

She was born September 9, 1939 in Middlesex County, VA, the daughter of Arthur W. and Garnet Thrift Bryant, both of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pearson was a member of Smith United Methodist Church.  For a number of years she was a sales associate at Roses. Later, she worked with the USDA, grading peanuts.

She was a talented seamstress, and loved sewing Raggedy Ann’s and Andy’s as well as sock monkeys.

Survivors include her children, Cliff (Linda) Pearson, Regina (Forrest) Price, all of Roanoke Rapids,  Jay (Donna) Pearson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Bryan Pearson and fiancee’ April Walker of Roanoke Rapids; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry, Richard and Wesley Bryant; and sisters, Frances Ward, Barbara Payne and Marguerite Weaver.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Pearson, Sr, and 2 brothers, Billy and Jesse Bryant.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 pm Monday in the fellowship hall at Smith United Methodist Church.  The funeral service will begin at 2 pm in the church sanctuary, with Pastors Gregg McGarvey and Johnny Branch presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
