Gladys Irene Dunn Baird, 84, of Roanoke Rapids, died February 26, 2019 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 4, 1934, in Boydon, VA, the daughter of James Edward and Virginia Stafford Dunn.  

Mrs. Baird was a homemaker.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde; a daughter, Evelyn Lewis Viverette; and several siblings.

Survivors include her sons, Clyde “Scoot” Baird & wife Ellen, and Jeff Baird & wife Angie, all of Roanoke Rapids; George Lewis of Missouri; grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jessie, Michael and Cody Baird; step-grandson, David Cook; great-grandchild, McKenzie Baird.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 – 8:30 pm Thursday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service for Mrs. Baird will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, from the graveside in Canaan Church Cemetery in Broadnax, VA.
