The Roanoke Rapids High School Lady Yellow Jackets softball team continued their winning streak Tuesday evening and improved to 4-0 on the road.

The Lady Yellow Jackets had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Franklinton 9-2.

Roanoke Rapids got on the board in the first inning. Kalissa Williams drove in one when Williams singled. The Lady Yellow Jackets tallied three runs in the third inning. Sue Odom, Logan Storey, and Alana Mitchell each had RBIs in the frame.

Williams pitched Roanoke Rapids to victory. The hurler surrendered two runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Roanoke Rapids racked up 13 hits. Williams, Mitchell, Odom, Karlee Hammack, and Alexia Coley each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Yellow Jackets. Mitchell and Williams each collected three hits to lead Roanoke Rapids.

The Roanoke Rapids Lady Jacket will host the Franklinton Red Rams Thursday at 6pm.
