Roanoke Rapids police are investigating a shooting in which two people were injured this evening.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a woman who was last seen getting into a dark-colored SUV the morning of May 10.
As of today the Halifax County Health Department reports 5,668 total positive COVID-19 cases. One new positive was added today. There have been 112 related deaths.
Occupants of a house in the 800 block of Eleventh Street made it out safely during a Wednesday night house fire and two pets were also rescued, according to the Roanoke Rapids Fire Department.
