The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:
When the call went out for help in the mountains of North Carolina, four firefighters from Halifax County answered the call and one county ranger was dispatched.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department began the season of giving early — delivering meals with the help of other law enforcement officers Tuesday to seven Roanoke Valley families.
They’re not being hipsters — they’re being helpers.
