Roanoke Rapids police are looking for Terry Louis Kearney Jr., a 19-year-old who victims say fired shots at them Sunday afternoon.
A man charged in the April 3, 2008 murder of Jerry Yellorday, a case in which no probable cause was found for all those charged, was placed on $1 million bond last week after a shooting at Creekside Court.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:
Halifax County commissioners today approved the release of state lottery funds to continue facilitating an athletic complex for Roanoke Rapids High School on the former Patterson Mill site.
The county has started taking applications to form a recreation advisory board as a follow-up to the commissioners' acceptance of a master plan in January.
