Yet another break-in in the Roanoke Rapids area is suspected of being perpetrated by the same people who in more than a month have hit six businesses stealing some $30,000 in merchandise.
The latest break-in was at Hip Hop City early Sunday morning where $18,074 worth of clothing and jewelry was taken from the store located at 1112 Julian Allsbrook Highway.

Another suspect image.
A piece of asphalt from the parking lot was used to smash the window, Detective Jeff Baggett of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said this morning.
The loot includes the following:
Various team athletic hats.
Levi's jeans.
Pants and shirts made by the following manufacturers: Parish, Brand 8 and Coogi.
Watches and necklaces.
Baggett said police believe the crimes are being done by the same people in and around the Tenth Street area of the city. An attempted breaking and entering was reported at Bass and Bucks on Tenth Street.
It appears from a previous video they are taking caution to avoid detection, wearing gloves and covering their faces.
Investigators believe the items could end up being sold for drugs or either put up for sale on eBay or Craigslist.
Anyone who is approached about buying these items or anyone with information on the identities of the people in the video or the still images is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or the police department at 252-533-2810.
