The Roanoke Rapids Police Department this morning released additional information about the truck used in the P&A Pawn Shop robbery in the 900 block of Roanoke Avenue.
Captain Andy Jackson said the truck is believed to be about the color of the one pictured above with license tags on the front and back.
States nearest North Carolina which require two tags include Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Jackson said, however, the police department is not only looking at those states, but looking at DMV records from all two tag states as well as others for vehicles which might have been stolen.
The major differences in the Ford dually pictured above and the one possibly used in the pawn shop heist are the grill is believed to be darker and the running boards are believed to be factory issued.
The color scheme was noted when an officer got a glimpse of a similar truck passing by on Jackson Street the morning of the robbery.
The pawn shop, the police department and the federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have all posted rewards in the case.
