The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a stabbing on April 30 in which two men were injured.

Lieutenant Bobby Martin said Deputy J.M. Clark responded to the area of Zoo Road and Stephens Street and found one man laying in the yard with blood on him.

The deputy also discovered another man laying on the porch, also with blood on him.

Both men — Raymond Mitchell Spence and Ricky Clements — were carried to Halifax Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Spence was airlifted to another hospital where he is in stable condition.

Charges are pending, Martin said.
