A 40-year-old Littleton woman faces several charges after she allegedly stole a $100 money order from the victim and cashed it.

Detective H.L. Williams of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office charged Cecilia Michelle Jarrell with misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.

The victim in the case reported that someone had stolen a $100 money order from her residence and cashed it.

Jarrell was jailed on $5,000 bond and has a June 6 court date.
