Two people were arrested today after the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for crack and marijuana use and sales.
Narcotics Agent J. Puhak said the search warrant was executed at a residence on Sunset Crest Lane in the Roanoke Rapids area.
He said the search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation on area narcotics violations discovered through community support and investigative work.
The search, which yielded user amounts of crack and marijuana, was facilitated through the efforts of narcotics agents, street detectives and Deputy M. Brown and his dog Miley.

The sheriff’s office charged Cristal Lynn Williams, 43, and Dearrick Mullen, 38, both of the Sunset Crest Lane community.
Williams was charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling for the use of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was jailed on $5,500 bond and has a February 6 court date.
Mullen was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed on $10,000 bond and has a Friday court date.
