A man who was arrested on September 24 in Rocky Mount and made bail the same day is wanted for a breaking and entering the following day in Halifax County.
Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Detective R. Somogyi said Anthony Antonio Hendricks, 24, is currently on the run and is wanted on breaking and entering warrants from other jurisdictions as well.
The sheriff’s office received a report on September 25 that a house in the Enfield area was broken into.
Investigation by Somogyi led to warrants being issued for Hendricks, who is from Rocky Mount.
Hendricks is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and larceny of a firearm.
Somogyi has previously charged Hendricks with other breaking and entering counts in Halifax County.
He said arrest warrants have been issued for Hendricks in Martin, Nash and Edgecombe counties that also charge him with breaking and entering and other theft related counts.
Somogyi said the counts in the other counties probably total three to four crimes per warrant.
Some property has been recovered and returned to owners in Halifax and the other counties, Somogyi said. Items taken include jewelry and firearms.
Hendricks frequents the Rocky Mount and Enfield areas.
