Incumbent Halifax County Commissioner Carolyn Johnson was returned to office this evening, according to unofficial election returns.
In the only contested commissioner race, Johnson handily beat her Republican challenger, Brad Bradley.
Johnson collected 78.89 percent of the votes in an election that saw 68.35 of the county’s registered voters cast ballots.
