Manning Elementary will be closed for students and for staff on Tuesday.

The school system said in a news release the closure is because of ongoing problems with the heating system and additional repairs needed to make it work properly.

Bus drivers and monitors should report at their normal times for those duties.

The lost instructional time will be made up this Saturday when school will operate on a half-day schedule.

School will open Saturday at 8 a.m. and dismiss at 11:30 a.m.

Buses will operate and lunch will be served.
