Two Weldon men were arrested Tuesday about an hour after they allegedly broke into a small engine repair shop on Julian R. Allsbrook Highway.
Captain James Avens of the Weldon Police Department said Sergeant Emmett Smith and Officer Vinson Davis were dispatched to a call shortly after 6:45 p.m. about a breaking and entering in progress.

Freeman
Avens said Weldon Fire Chief Rusty Bolt observed two men exiting from the broken front door window and reported the crime.
Officer Christopher Coley and his dog Rio assisted with a track.
The track and witness description helped officers locate Antwoin Lynch, 20, and Damian Lee Freeman, 21, on Grant Drive, the next street over from the shop.
The men, who allegedly stole a laptop from the business, were charged with breaking and entering, larceny and damage to property. The laptop was recovered.

Lynch
Lynch was jailed on $5,000 bond and Freeman on $10,000 bond. They have March 13 court dates.
