Terrance Moody, the last person wanted in a Monday night shooting in Roanoke Rapids, is back in Halifax County and under a $400,000 bond.

Major Tommy Hathaway of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said this morning intelligence showed he had family in Henrico County, Virginia.

The 44-year-old Roanoke Rapids man was apprehended Tuesday and, following extradition proceedings, returned to Halifax County to face charges of attempted murder and conspiracy in the shooting of 25-year-old Jeremy East.

Family members told Roanoke Rapids Police that East sustained a shattered jaw, damage to his sinus cavity and has a bullet resting next to his spine, Hathaway said Tuesday.

Early this morning police arrested Michael D’Angelo Carter, 38, for attempted murder and conspiracy.

Carter was jailed on $100,000 bond and has a May 29 court date.
