A May 11 armed robbery that occurred outside of Shoe Show on East Tenth Street remains under investigation by the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

An employee of the store leaving work around 8:25 that evening reported she was approached by two black males, one brandishing a weapon who pushed her aside and snatched her purse from inside her vehicle.

The men were dressed in all black and wore black hooded sweatshirts that covered their heads.

They appeared to be young and were last seen running towards the movie theater.
