New charges filed against those arrested in the murder of Derrick Arp suggest a robbery motive in the case.
Warrants of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon were filed Friday against Christopher Harvey and Clintonio Bowser. The same warrants were filed against Kentrel Davis and Semaj Prince today, according to Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp.
Tripp said an item of value, which he declined to disclose, was reportedly stolen from Arp on the evening of November 24.
Arp, 29, was shot more than once and was found outside on Marlbrook Drive near the P&J Mobile Home Park area off Highway 48 outside Roanoke Rapids.
Prince received an additional $30,000 bond and Davis received an additional $10,000 bond. All four arrested in the case remain in jail without the opportunity for bond on the murder charges.
