An Enfield man was charged Thursday with holding a juvenile against their will and committing sex acts.
Samuel Ellis Richardson, 53, faces charges of indecent liberties with a child; second-degree sex offense and false imprisonment, according to Detective W. Murphy Jr, of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Murphy said this evening Richardson is a friend of the victim's family.
He was charged the same day the complaints were lodged in the Enfield area.
He was jailed on $125,000 bond and awaits a March 18 court date.
