The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office narcotics division arrested Byron Joyner, 40, of Woodland during a routine traffic stop for a window tint violation.
Captain M.D. Deloatch Sr. said in a statement consent was given to search the vehicle and a digital scale and some drug paraphernalia was found.
Joyner was taken into custody and initially taken to the Woodland Police Department.
Joyner was found to be in possession of 13 grams of crack cocaine and $261 in cash.
He was transported to the Northampton County Detention Center where he was jailed on $12,500 secured bond after being charged with felony possession of crack cocaine; maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance; possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“The Northampton County Sheriffs Office will continue to investigate all complaints of illegal drug activity,” Sheriff Jack Smith said.
