The owner of a safe stolen from an East Tenth Street is offering a reward for information leading to its recovery.

The safe, a 600-pound 1950s model, was stolen from Davis Insurance following a break-in at the business last month, Investigator Frankie Griffin of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said Thursday.

A report of a safe found in Northampton County was not the one stolen from the business, he said.
