Warrants for murder were issued Tuesday for four Warren County men involved in a fatal shooting that occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said in a statement the four men were responsible for shooting into two vehicles, just south of Connect 25, on U.S. Route 1 South in Warren County.
One victim, Michael Pressley, 28, of Oxford, was shot and later died.
A second victim, Jerry Henderson, 25, of Oxford, was also shot.
Montrell Randy Davis, 22, of Warrenton, was arrested Tuesday, in the parking lot of the Blue Store Convenience Store in Warrenton.
The arrest took place without trouble.
Davis was charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.
Davis was presented to a magistrate before being booked into the Warren County Jail without opportunity for bond.
Warrants for identical charges were issued for Kadeem Jaleel Grooms, 23, of Manson, Darren Antoine Alston, 22, of Warrenton, and Marquis Montelle Davis, 24, of Warrenton.
This was a joint investigation involving the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and SBI.
The Warren County District Attorney’s Office was consulted before warrants were sought.
