No injuries were reported this afternoon when a northbound Amtrak locomotive struck a flatbed trailer just across the North Carolina state line in Greensville County.
A Virginia State Police spokesperson said the collision occurred just after 1 p.m. on the tracks parallel to Highway 301.
The trailer could be seen on the side of the highway at the Georgia-Pacific entrance.
