A man wanted in two August shootings in Roanoke Rapids was arrested Tuesday and faces charges from both the Halifax County Sheriff's Office and the city's police department.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said Kevin Lee-Andre Davis, 28, faces charges lodged by Roanoke Rapids Investigator Bobby Martin for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property.

That shooting occurred in the South Rosemary area and about five minutes later another shooting was reported in the Community Trailer Park area.

Wiltsie said the shootings were related to what he described as an apparent dispute over a woman.

Wiltsie charged Davis with same number of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury counts as Roanoke Rapids; a charge of shooting into occupied property and a charge of injury to property.

He was arrested at the sheriff's office without trouble around 9:30 p.m. and jailed on $150,000 bond. He has an October 21 court date.
