The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

At approximately 9 a.m., Master Officer Gerald Morris located and arrested Nicole Ciera Bryant, 30, of Roanoke Rapids, in the 200 block of Madison Street on an outstanding order for arrest for probation violation.

Bryant received a $5,000 bond and a December 16 court date.

Tuesday December 1, 2015

At approximately10 p.m., Officer Dale Strickland responded to a disturbance call on Oakridge Drive.

Strickland spoke with a person who told him someone took personal property.

Strickland located Darius Dewayne Lewter, 27, and Sharon Lanqui Person, 18, both of Roanoke Rapids, on Murphey Street and attempted to get the property returned.

During the encounter they began to curse the officer.

Strickland arrested and charged both Lewter and Person with resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer. They received $500 bonds and January 22 court dates.

Sergeant Mike Moseley and Master Officer Gorton Williams assisted.

At approximately 11 p.m., Officer Adam Salmon located and arrested Enrique Alfredo Cruz, 46, of Weldon, in the 1000 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway on an outstanding warrant for violating a domestic protection order. Cruz was held without opportunity for bond and received a December 8 court date.

Lieutenant Jeff Baggett and Moseley assisted.

Thursday December 3, 2015

At approximately noon, Morris conducted a traffic stop on Tenth Street near Marshall for a violation. Morris found the license of Leslie Michelle Gregory, 48, of Roanoke Rapids, was suspended.

Morris also found Gregory in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Morris arrested and charged her with driving while license revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She received a $500 bond and January 15 court date.

Sergeant Richie White assisted.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the police department received information on the location of a person with outstanding warrants.

Lieutenant Charles Burnette, Morris and Officer Patrick Smith conducted a traffic stop Fifth and Williams streets.

The officers located Tereka Hyman, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, who had outstanding warrants for breaking and entering, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering and cyber stalking. She was also served with several outstanding orders for arrest and received a $31,800 bond.

She has a December 30 court date.

The breaking and entering charges were lodged by Lieutenant Greg Richardson of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office from a case in October.

At approximately 9 p.m., Salmon responded to a larceny call at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Troy Elmore Patterson, 18, of Roanoke Rapids, took items from the store without paying.

Salmon cited Patterson for larceny and possession of stolen goods and released him until his January 11 court date.
