Detective Willie Murphy Jr. said Kinsey Maurice Goode, 33, was located at a relative's home after a Crimestoppers tip led to his whereabouts.

He was arrested without trouble and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was jailed without the opportunity for bond and issued a $1,000 cash bond for a probation violation. He has a January 27 court date.

The shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Murphy said last month the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries from a single gunshot from what was believed to be a small caliber weapon.

Investigation into the case began around 3 a.m. when deputies were dispatched to Halifax Regional Medical Center where the victim was being treated.
