Halifax County charges against a Garysburg man charged in a December assault were dismissed Monday, the clerk of courts office confirmed.
Robert Darrell Dunlow had faced charges of assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats and kidnapping stemming from a December 5 matter in Roanoke Rapids.
Those charges were dismissed, the clerk's office said, although no reason for the dismissal was immediately available.
Dunlow was arrested on those warrants last week by the Northampton County Sheriff's Office which arrived at his residence outside Garysburg to serve them.
He is scheduled to appear in Northampton County court in February to answer to two felony probation violation counts.
